Technique

Håkon's technique is entirely self-developed and guided by intuition rather than strict rules. The process is slow and deliberate, allowing materials, texture, and balance to shape the final expression.

Each painting is built through layers, subtle contrasts, and surface depth. Texture plays a central role — both visually and physically — giving each piece a distinct character and quiet complexity.

The sun often serves as a symbolic foundation in the work, representing warmth, energy, and stillness. This influence appears through soft forms, restrained compositions, and carefully placed golden tones.

Every artwork is one of a kind and cannot be replicated. Natural imperfections and traces of the hand are embraced as part of the process, making each piece uniquely human.
